The Company

This position is being recruited for a widely recognised, international hydraulics company. Providing fluid power, motion control and hydraulic filtration solutions into a wide range of markets, such as defence, transport, OEM, mining, resource, construction and agriculture.

They can provide solutions from simple hose, fittings and connectors through to hydraulic filtration, monitoring and flow-control and complete hydraulic and pneumatic system integration.

Their products development teams able support their commercial objectives by continuously and consistently concepting new engineered solutions within the hydraulic and pneumatic markets. The ability to deliver both simple and complex solutions has put this company at the forefront of the market verticals that it works across.

The Position

Based in either Brisbane or MacKay, QLD, this position will be responsible for the market development and account management of all of this companies' customers within the MacKay region. This role will have a division of time between meeting customers on-site in MacKay and dealing with their head office's in the Brisbane CBD.

On any given day you will be performing the following tasks:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, mainly focussed within the mining, agriculture and construction markets
  • Promoting a wide range of hydraulic components and hose and fitting solutions
  • Identifying and prospecting new business opportunities
  • Working with internal product managers to create bespoke solutions for your clients
  • Meeting and reporting to senior management regarding the sales pipeline with the MacKay region

The Package

For the right candidate my client is willing to offer the following:

  • A salary of up to $120k PA + Superannuation depending on industry experience
  • An uncapped OTE structure with average bonus payments of $24k PA
  • A fully maintained company vehicle or expenses account depending on location

The Candidate

To be considered for this role it is essential that candidates have a working knowledge of hydraulic parts and/or systems and a demonstrated sales ability and aptitude.

The ideal candidate would also have the following attributes:

  • A hydraulic, mechanic or related diploma or degree
  • An experience selling complex solutions to mining, agriculture, construction and OEM customers
  • The ability to deal with C-Level decision makers and Technical and Mechanical Engineers

Other qualities that would be looked upon favourably are:

  • Self-motivated
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Persistent and driven approach to business
  • Good knowledge of both underground and surface mining operations
  • Experience in an autonomous business development role
  • A full and valid driver's licence - must have
