The Opportunity
This role will establish and maintain a robust training and assessment system across the Carole Park manufacturing plant, ensuring we meet our Zero Harm responsibilities and can deliver world class manufacturing.

The Responsibilities
  • Creating assessment guidelines based upon approved SOP’s, to assess competence in our operators and identify capability gaps
  • Assess and record current competence for each individual in the plant
  • Create and maintain training matrix to identify training required by role and tools to support capability build
  • Conduct annual training needs analysis for the plant in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Develop annual plant training calendar
  • Pilot new learning technology to digitally record competence & ensure assessments are captured online
  • Assist with audit processes – provide documentation as required on the Plant Training and Assessment System.
  • Partner with Plant Department Managers, Quality Manager and EHS Manager where appropriate to ensure all SOP’s are reviewed and verified.
  • Source external & internal facilitator/training providers as required to deliver training needs analysis.

About you
  • Previous experience training and assessing operators in a manufacturing environment
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Involvement in change initiatives and projects
  • Exposure to awards / collective agreements / dealing with unions preferred
  • Experience working with lean methodology and driving continuous improvement
  • A real problem solver who explores all the possibilities with a focus on the end result
  • Able to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • A high attention to detail and the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Strong organisational skills and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Energetic, friendly and people orientated
