About the role
We are currently looking for a Technical Officer Structures to join our Engineering team based in Brisbane. In this hands-on and business critical role you will provide engineering, maintenance and logistics support services and you will be responsible for the performance of Technical Information Review (TIR), technical change management and investigation activities. Specifically you will:

  • Undertake Technical Information Review and Continued Airworthiness Approval
  • Develop and review engineering advice, authorised maintenance data and instructions
  • Perform and manage technical investigation of problems or changes emanating from the OEM, maintenance, production, logistics or operating environment.
  • Undertake analysis of defect and problem reports.
  • Liaise with other business and functional units, operators, maintainers, airworthiness authorities and members of the relevant Support Network in Australia and overseas as appropriate to support technical change activities.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal skills. You must be someone who can work autonomously and is comfortable driving continuous improvement. You must also have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience (post trade qualification) working as a fully qualified technician in Maintenance or Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance environment in the aviation industry or typical minimum 3+ years' professional experience working in relevant engineering field as a practicing engineer in the aviation industry
  • Certificate IV in Structures
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g. DASR, CAANZ, CASA, etc.), standards and best practices in all aspects of their field of expertise
  • Experience working within a Continuing Airworthiness environment.
  • Enovia software experience, or experience with similar Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLMT).
  • Experience working in a Defence Project Environment
