The Country Chef Bakery Co. are looking for a Quality Manager to manage and improve the quality management system and continuous improvement methods and processes for The Country Chef Bakery Co., in line with the company's objectives. The role of the Quality Manager is to oversee, inform and drive quality improvement for the business.

This is a full time role that is located at The Country Chef Bakery Co. on the Sunshine Coast.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintaining and continually develop of the HACCP program up to the required standards as requested by our customers and in conformance with the company’s Quality Assurance procedures and policies
  • Undertaking risk assessments, correct documentation and training, induction of new employees on hygiene policy, keeping up to date with new government and regulatory requirements in relation to food safety and quality assurance
  • Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the SQF System, including food safety fundamentals outlined in the food safety and food quality plans
  • Take appropriate action to maintain the integrity of the SQF System and communication to relevant personnel of all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF System
  • Preparing and submitting reports as required
  • Proactively participating in relevant training, meetings and onboarding new staff

The ideal candidate will have:
  • previous experience with FMCG organisations and background or keen interest in bakery goods
  • ability to influence and manage change
  • enjoy working in a fast paced team environment
  • strong knowledge and demonstrated ability in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • exceptional attention to detail

RequirementsExperience and qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on experience managing a quality function across multiple food manufacturing sites
  • Sound knowledge of and a certified HACCP site supervisor
  • TACCP/VACCP training
  • SQF Practitioner (or excellent knowledge of GFSI Quality Certifications)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (desirable)
  • Food Technology and/or Science Qualification desirable, or equivalent demonstrated experience
