Mort & Co is Australia’s largest privately-owned beef cattle lot feeding, management and marketing company and a leading exporter of premium Australian beef. Our Grassdale Feedlot has recently undergone a major expansion, making it the largest in the country.

We are looking to welcome some Livestock Hands to our Movements Team. If you would like to be part of a dynamic team in the agricultural industry, we would love to hear from you!


  • Be part of a dynamic team with a strong focus on our company culture, innovation, continuous improvement and Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Fortnightly site lunches and regular on and off-site social club activities present an opportunity to network with other team members across the site.
  • Opportunities for further training and career progression, including twice-yearly livestock handling training and regular internal and annual external horsemanship training.
  • Modern horse facilities (stables, well grassed communal paddocks, round yard, sand arena), horse care and horse allowance/saddle purchase option provided.


  • Drafting, processing and livestock movements.
  • Data entry/processing and accurate record-keeping using specialist feedlot systems.
  • Pen riding and hospital treatments.


  • Your own team of sensible workhorses and gear, with previous livestock and horsemanship experience preferred.
  • A keen attitude, willingness to learn, to contribute positively to the team and embody our company values.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and ability to work a ten on/four off roster.
