About the Company
We are currently working with one of our clients to source a Project Manager - Payroll. Our client is a statutory authority of the Government of Queensland that provides bulk water storage, transport and treatment, water grid management and planning, catchment management and flood mitigation services to the South East Queensland region of Australia.

About the Role
We are seeking a Payroll project manager to work closely with the broader Ci Anywhere project to manage enhancements to the Technology One Payroll modules. Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with key stakeholders to determine Payroll enhancement requirements
  • Review the configuration of the current Payroll modules to identify any "quick wins"
  • Conduct an assessment to determine the feasibility of implementing an award interpreter product
  • Provide recommendations to senior management on the way forward
  • A recommendation may include conducting a request for information process for an award interpreter platform

In addition, the project manager may be expected to manage other prioritised projects.

About You

  • Lead project teams in the delivery of complex projects (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies), ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained
  • Manage and control resources, operational and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
  • Work with senior people responsible for the line business operation to ensure maximum business operations improvements are made as the project delivers its products into operational use
  • Maintain the business case for funding the program/project and confirm continuing business viability of the project/program at regular intervals.
  • Manage project risk. Carry out risk assessment for identifying potential risk events, quantifying and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact on the project and/or the business.
  • Working knowledge of PMBOK and/or PRINCE2 project methodology is highly regarded.
  • Hold a current motor vehicles drivers' licence
