About This Opportunity

Following an internal promotion, we are excited to be recruiting a Administration Assistant to join our team. This position is critical to the centralised delivery of a candidate centric recruitment service for the University, by undertaking a host of duties from inbox management, advertisement coordination, scheduling interviews and drafting letters of offer and employee creation in our payroll system. The successful candidate will build tight knit stakeholder relationships and be key in fostering a positive candidate experience at the start of applicant's UQ journey.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate administrative experience developed in a high volume and busy customer focused role. You’ll be experienced and committed to the provision of exceptional customer service and have an innate drive to go above and beyond for your stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to swiftly build strong stakeholder relationships, is key to success in this role. It’s critical that you be highly organised and manage your time efficiently, be adaptable, take initiative and be a team player.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31 December 2021, available at HEW level 4.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $65,424 - $69,453, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $76,546 - $81,260.
