Our Onboard Services team is currently seeking a Station Assistant Supervisor (Relief) to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. As a Station Assistant Supervisor (Relief) you will be responsible for leading a small team and providing exceptional customer service on Platform 10 at Roma Street Station, thereby contributing to the effective performance of Travel and Tourist onboard services and station operations. You will also be responsible for providing support to the Station Assistant Supervisor in charge when required.

Your exceptional customer service experience coupled with your ability to lead a team will be paramount to your success. You will also be adaptable with outstanding communication skills.

About the role:
  • Supervise and ensure maximum customer service is achieved by maintaining cleanliness of trains and stations
  • Supervise and ensure the team provides quality customer service by interacting with, assisting, and directing customers
  • Set up luggage check in areas and assist with handling customer luggage
  • Supervise and assist with ordering and receiving stock, ensuring relevant legislation, standards and polices are adhered to. Perform tasks associated with the handling, rotation and storage of stock including cleaning of storage areas
  • Operate station plant and equipment including basic communication devices and computer equipment
  • Supervise and perform other duties as required by the Operations Coordinator, Brisbane
  • Assist with the de-provision and provision of supplies for all long distance trains on arrival and departure
  • Apply Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements within the job role, including the application of Occupational Health and Safety, radio protocols and observation of signals
  • Assist in organising of planned and unplanned disruptions

  • Ability to undertake occasional heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that generally works between the hours of 08:00 and 19:30 and has an annual salary of $59,673 + super + applicable penalties. You will be required to work weekends on a fortnightly basis and public holidays when required. Some travelling within the region may also be required.
