About Gogango State School

Gogango State School is located in the township of Gogango, 65 km west of Rockhampton. The school offers an educational program catering for kindergarten to year six in multi-age classes. Currently, 3 students are enrolled full-time from Prep to Year 6. There are no kindergarten children currently enrolled. In partnership with parents, the staff are dedicated to providing high quality learning programs that cater for the individual needs and aspirations of all students.

About the role
As the Principal of Gogango State School you will be responsible for leading a small school, multi-age environment. The successful applicant has a dual responsibility of principal and classroom teacher. Capability to enact the Australian Curriculum in a multi-age setting will be essential. Knowledge of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines would be advantageous. Strong regional services are available to support the applicant to lead and manage the kindy program. This role serves a small rural community and would be well suited to a community-minded educator.

As the Principal you will have responsibility for the following:

Manage resources to achieve goals.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:

  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
  • Teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
