VGA has an exciting new opportunity for a passionate electromobility professional to join our Technology Business Development team in the role of E-Mobility Solutions Manager for Volvo Trucks. Volvo Trucks are at the beginning of a truly exciting Electro mobility journey, the business potential for electric Trucks is vast. This role will be crucial for Volvo Trucks to take major steps towards 2025 and onwards to 2030 when substantial parts of the truck population will be electric.

As Solutions Manager, you will support and drive the development of Electro-mobility solutions in Australia at both a strategic and operational level. You will demonstrate a high degree of awareness of electric truck and electric vehicle charging innovations and opportunities, taking learnings from early adopter programs to shape the solutions strategy in this market. You will enjoy collaborating working with the central e-mobility team to develop the structure of the offer to the market, including the way we partner with key external stakeholders, allocating key risks and responsibilities.

About you:

You will enjoy working cross-functionally leveraging the knowledge and support available in all areas of Volvo Trucks and external partners to ensure high levels of dialogue, exchange of information and coordination between Service, Sales, Product, Business Control and Support teams. As an inclusive leader, you will market commercial crew activities cross-functionally including product, Volvo Financial Services products, superstructure, connected services, service market and marcoms. You will be a contributor, collaborative and have a “One VGA” approach to team, department and Company efforts by accomplishing related results and undertaking any requested job as needed.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
  • Extensive knowledge of the e-mobility industry and technical competence of products
  • Possess strong business development experience, that has developed your solid negotiation skills
  • Competent project management leadership experience gained in a complex, agile organisation
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills including the delivery of engaging presentations
  • Previous experience working with Corporate and Government affairs in Australia at a senior level
  • Strategic with business acumen and knowledgeable about the heavy vehicle industry
  • Curious and creative with personal drive and learning agility
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills
  • Have exposure to the electrical infrastructure (energy supply) would be advantageous but not essential.
