Security / Systems Administrator - Brisbane

AGINIC - Brisbane City, QLD

Any Industry
Source: uWorkin

About Us:

Welcome to Aginic, a rapidly-growing consultancy where some of the country’s brightest data analysts, engineers, agile coaches, designers, and cloud architects blend their technical skills with a desire to deliver impactful insights that solve business problems.

We are currently looking for a Security / Systems Administrator to join the Service Delivery Team in providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

About You:

You are tech-savvy and awesome at solving problems, learning new technologies and finding better ways of doing things. When something needs doing, you find a way to get it done. You don’t want a role that’s “just” technical because you get along well with people and enjoy using your communication and people skills to help customers. Regardless of your background, you’re able to figure out what they need, keep them in the loop, and deliver results.

You have at least 3 years of experience in an IT service delivery or support role, and may be familiar with ITIL (or similar). You’re able to use your judgement and expertise to prioritise and triage requests, then work efficiently to resolve them. You stay calm in emergencies but also take proactive steps to prevent future issues.

You prefer autonomy over micro-management, so once you understand your key metrics, SLAs and responsibilities, you take charge of achieving them.

In terms of technology, you have a deep knowledge in cloud systems administration, including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and AWS offerings, and both Windows and Linux environments. You are comfortable learning how to deploy and manage specialist systems relating to data engineering and analytics (e.g. Qlik. Dataiku, Elastic & Looker to name a few) - and you recognise that in our industry, these will evolve constantly.

You like the start-up vibe of our workplace and are excited to work in an energetic and growing team.

  • Be a key point of contact for service or support requests – for both internal staff and external clients
  • Triage requests based on urgency, client arrangement, type of request and sound judgement
  • Resolve requests through strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise
  • Build long-term client relationships by being responsive, proactive and aware of their needs
  • Maintain a suitable level of documentation to enable knowledge retention and transfer
  • Embed security risk management into the way we operate and manage our control environment
  • Monitor and track against key metrics and SLAs
  • Propose and contribute to new technology initiatives (e.g. improved security monitoring, new system roll-outs) so we’re continually improving our efficiency, quality and client satisfaction

  • Cloud systems administration ( Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Google Workspace )
  • Cloud managed network vendors (Unifi, Aruba, Meraki)
  • MacOS knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of best cybersecurity practices and implementation
  • Hands on experience with an MDM platform (Fleetsmith, JAMF, Kandji )
  • Experience supporting dashboard and analytical applications highly desired ( Qlik, PowerBI, Dataiku, Tableau )

  • Attractive remuneration and leave package
  • Training and professional development opportunities
  • Flexible working
  • Social workplace with regular events and team activities including “Winter School” - 1 week residential professional development and team building trip.
  • EAP and other wellbeing initiatives for all employees
  • Start up culture that values ideas from all levels
  • Coaching program
