The role of Marketing Specialist Financial Services will lead the development, design and implementation of marketing programs for new and existing direct earn credit card partners. This multi-faceted role will drive the overarching marketing strategy for partners within your portfolio, balancing strategic initiatives and commercial requirements.

Responsible for embedding new financial partners into Velocity and working with existing partners to drive growth. Exceptional stakeholder management will be required to deliver best in class outcomes - both with external partners and internal colleagues to ensure programs are member centric and achieve partner and Velocity financial goals.

Due to the diverse remit of the marketing team, there's an expectation that from time to time you will work on initiatives beyond your portfolio - as 'pitching in' is what makes our team great.


Key accountabilities:

  • Working with the Velocity Marketing Leadership team, Financial Services Partnerships team and Partners to identify and deliver customer growth strategies
  • Lead and manage end-to-end marketing campaigns for existing partners, developing customer and omni-channel experiences
  • Support our commercial teams to win and onboard new partners
  • Leverage the power of Velocity's financial services partners to acquire customers and drive loyalty for Virgin Australia
  • Socialise strategy and support peers with change management
  • Embrace business change and actively participate in the strategy and implementation as we increase the use of automated solutions to service our partners
  • Develop a marketing plan to meet a given target including response modelling, integration into existing lifecycle programs and the planning and delivery of ongoing marketing
  • Consistently monitor reporting to measure campaign success and track against targets, continually looking for opportunities to optimise activity across eDM and paid media channels

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in developing and delivering go to market campaigns across multiple channels
  • Confidence when it comes to data and operations literacy, assessing opportunities and turning insights into business plans
  • Ability to work with campaign management tools in complex environments
  • Has a breadth of understanding of various functions, and works alongside them to solve goals and challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proven ability to take initiative
  • Know when to escalate issues or opportunities
  • Has an understanding of digital capability and proactively leverages to enhance and optimise campaign constructs
