About the role/s

The Accounts Administration Assistant will provide administrative support, assist with daily tasks and support the accounts team as well as the organisation as required.

Accounts Assistant:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and interpret daily transactions.
  • Enter data from billing statements, setting up tax forms.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable transactions.
  • Assist Manager with verifying and posting details of business transactions, such as funds received.
    and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
  • Assist Manager with coding data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures. Tabulates and posts data in accounting software program.
  • Assist in computing and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
  • Tracks and recovers debt.
  • Prepares, issues, and sends out invoices, statements, and assorted correspondence. Sorts and files records.
  • Prepares daily banking.
  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and cheques substantiating business transactions.
  • Provides accounts assistance to customers.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years related experience or accounting degree.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as tax invoices, financial documents, receipts and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint/Teams (desired).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with other staff and customers.

Operations Assistant:

The Operations Assistant provides operational support as directed by the Operations Coordinator as well as other specialist support to the organisation more broadly.The position holder is expected to work to a high standard and be able to work both independently.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Operations Coordinator:

  • NIOA staff travel.
  • Implementation of designated policies.
  • Functions/conferences and catering across the NIOA business (Including catering for Advisory board).
  • Management of companywide Barista/s (Melbourne, Benalla, Canberra).
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with other departments/individuals when required, ensuring the goals of the Company and Operations team are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Events Management – all NIOA events.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years related experience.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint/Teams (desired).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with other staff and customers.
