Buderim Gardens Retirement Village is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Hospitality Team Member to join their team on a casual basis. You will be available to work on both weekdays and weekends and public holidays. No early morning or evening work past 6:30pm will be required.

The main focus of this position is to support our residents living in our Serviced Apartments, where we provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis, as well as the servicing of the residents homes.

This role includes both kitchen duties and dining room and room service delivery to the residents, as well as the provision of cleaning services in the residents homes, and village common areas, so a genuine interest in working hands-on with the elderly/vulnerable is a must. You will be supported by the current kitchen and service team, who are willing to train the right person, should they be yet to gain experience in food preparation and / or service.

To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate the following;

  • Strong interest in food preparation and cooking.
  • Previous experience in food service, working in a restaurant or cafe, or keen interest to learn
  • Cleaning experience or willingness to learn and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer focus, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
  • Initiative and pro-activity, looking for ways to improve our service.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
