JOB DESCRIPTION

To provide high quality support and intervention services to young people subject to a youth justice intervention, their families and communities within a goal of reducing the over representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in the youth justice system.

To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate capability in the following areas:

Role specific - You have knowledge of and/or experience in assessment and case work intervention relating to young offenders, and knowledge of theoretical perspectives that relate to youth justice practice, including the impacts of historical and contemporary policy and practices.

Mandatory qualification/requirements

- Applicants are required to nominate an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person who is recognised and accepted within the community as a referee to support their ability to meet the key responsibilities.

- Travel is a requirement of this position, therefore, it is a requirement that the applicant hold a current 'C' Class Drivers licence.
