Governance Officer - Administration Fixed Term (8 Months) Maternity Leave Contract Moranbah

About the Position:
Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is seeking a highly experienced Governance Officer/Administrator to join our Governance and Corporate services team for a fixed term Maternity Contract (8 Months) full time position, must be based in Moranbah with an expected commencement date of 10 May 2021.

Reporting to the Manager Governance & Corporate Services this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the management team in an effective, efficient and highly confidential manner. The successful candidate will possess a Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant work experience in an administrative or executive support role. Furthermore, a high level of written and interpersonal skills with knowledge of Microsoft office suite is required. Previous experience within Local Government, particularly with exposure to the governance field would be highly regarded.

For this position we offer:
  • Base Salary $66,856.61 - $71,348.54 per annum + allowances (Stream A - Level 3)
  • Fixed Term - 8 Month Maternity Leave position
  • Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
  • Fortnightly RDO in accordance with Council Policy
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro rata
  • 12% super (in accordance with policy)
