About the Role

As a Specialist Operational Readiness with BHP OS, you will be project managing the deployments for OS across Australia. A deployment is the successful management of a scope of work ranging from the allocation of people to the analysis of risks for proper plan implementation. These opportunities are well suited to someone who is highly organised and process driven. In this role you will be accountable for:

Coordinating the successful delivery of new Operations Services deployments;
Providing support and maintaining positive relationships with operations leadership teams;
Collaborating with key operational and functional stakeholders to project managing Operational Readiness activities;
Inputs and facilitation to assist with Operational Readiness process development;
Develop and maintain common processes and Master Schedules for Operations Readiness and delivery of new deployments;
Supporting the Program Development team in preparing Business Cases for new Operations Services deployments;
Encouraging and leading productive collaboration across operational readiness teams;
Working with Asset Leadership Teams to build capability across the business.
About You

As a strong candidate, you will ideally:
Be highly respected as a subject matter expert in either projects, production, maintenance &/or planning;
Have experience or demonstrated interest in delivering projects across large scale operations;
Have a deep commitment and passion for delivering improvement opportunities;
Have good understanding of, and proven skills in, work process analysis and improvement;
Demonstrate strong communication skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organization from senior management to mine site leaders and operators;
Have strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team;
A tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or commercial area will be highly desirable as will prior project management experience.
