Full Job Description
The Greater Whitsundays Mental Health Service has a Permanent Full Time position available for a motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to lead their team.

The Greater Whitsunday Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health and AOD assessment and treatment services for those experiencing complex and severe difficulties across the age range, including Child and Youth, Adult Continuing Care and Alcohol and Drug Services. This incumbent of this role will be a vital foundation of the Greater Whitsunday team, as well as a valued member of the wider Mental Health and AODS management team.

Your role:
The Team Leader manages the operations of a multidisciplinary team delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs (AODS) and Mental Health Services to the Greater Whitsunday Catchment Area.
The Team Leader provides advanced clinical leadership and expertise in strategic, operational and human resource management utilising a well-developed level of clinical knowledge, problem solving skills and experience of complex contemporary clinical practice standards to ensure optimal clinical outcomes for consumers.
The Team Leader proactively advocates for the service on issues such as resource allocation, service improvement, service development, and policy development utilising high level negotiation and conflict management skills within an ethical legislative framework.
All Team Leaders within the Division are members of the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Leadership Group.

Your team:
The Greater Whitsunday Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (GWMHAOD) Service is based in Proserpine and outreaches to Bowen, Cannonvale/Airlie Beach, Collinsville and other rural sites in the catchment area.
