Full Job Description
The Portfolio Management Office ensures TMR's portfolio of infrastructure investments is positioned to deliver outcomes that support the government's long-term transport and economic objectives. The Portfolio Management Office business objectives are to deliver best value investment in the transport system and to maximise the benefits from our investments through long-term (10-year) planning and prioritisation. This success will be attributed to a focus on engagement and collaboration with stakeholders and in developing practical applications of portfolio and program best practices.

Accountabilities include:
  • Develop content and maintain pragmatic and fit for-purpose tools and templates, fact sheets and documents relating to program management methodology, practice and assurance, to support the application of best practice program management within TMR.
  • Develop and deliver communication materials to promote the value of Managing Successful Programs (MSP®) and Portfolio, Program and Project Office (P3O®) approaches and their application within TMR.
  • Coordinate capability needs analysis and identify priorities for training requirements across Programs and other internal groups building program management capability.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with team members, Program teams, other internal clients and stakeholders, and external providers.
  • Research and coordinate information for reporting on portfolio and program performance.
  • Support development and delivery of specialist training programs via a range of channels to build TMR-wide capability in program management.
  • Work collaboratively and coordinate effort with other team members to ensure delivery of program management projects.
  • Lead and/or contribute to business unit improvement projects as required.
  • Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
This position reports to the Manager (Program Management).
