We are proud to have a strong Class Actions presence nationally, having assisted clients secure justice in some of the nation's largest Class Actions, including historic settlements such as the Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson Class Action, PFAS contamination class actions, and DePuy ASR hip implant class action.

Shine's reputation as a leader in the Class Actions space in Australia has seen an organic increase in the number and size of the Class Actions being handled by this high-performing team, and, consequently, strong growth in the size of the department itself.

The Role

Due to this recent success, we are offering an Administration Assistant opportunity to join our Class Actions team on a full-time , six (6) months fixed-term contract basis in Brisbane CBD to work primarily across the Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson Class Action.

This role will proactively provide chargeable and non-chargeable support and assistance to the legal team with general administrative duties in order to obtain maximum compensation for clients from file opening to closure.

The Responsibilities

Organise meeting rooms for client interviews and conferences
High-volumes of archiving, efiling, and filing responsibilities
Coordination and management of multiple and complex Excel spreadsheets
Utilise internal programs and systems to process information and administrative tasks effectively in accordance with Shine requirements
Apply a foundational understanding of the legal environment to support paralegals and authors in the preparation of legal and other documentation
Actively contribute to building a positive external profile and brand of the branch/department.
Proactively build strong relationships in the team and across Shine, creating a positive and progressive working environment
General office administration as required (including telephone calls, mail requirements, photocopying, filing, stationery requirements, office purchases etc.)
The Skills

Significant experience in a legal administration assistant role
Experience in personal injuries preferred
Availability to work full-time is preferred
Ability to read and understand technical and medical documents and input data from records
Confident in taking high volume client enquiries and email communications from clients
Document management and collation skills
Strong MS Office skills
