Full Job Description
An exciting and challenging opportunity has been created to work across both our Arundel (a 50 bed facility nestled amongst parklands and only minutes to the beach located on the Gold Coast) and Southport facility (historically known as Villa La Salle and also in an enviable, relaxed coastal location whilst still accessible to the central business hub).

As a Quality & Education Coordinator with SVCS, this is an ideal position for a Qualified Registered Nurse whose experience and knowledge can lend a hand to creating best practice in Workplace Health and Safety as well as educating staff, residents and relevant stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively manage all aspects of clinical and workplace health and safety risk
Work with Facility Managers with strategy to minimise threat of harm to residents/clients and staff
Understand and prevent litigation issues and potential
Manage and coordinate quality improvement and auditing requirements to maintain compliance with all relevant accreditation standards.
Provide effective leadership and coordination of education across the facility
Target best practice levels of safety, legislative compliance and achievement of performance standards.
Drive the implementation and evaluation of operational strategies for Quality, Safety and Training initiatives
Help frame quality health services within the ethos of the vision, mission, values of St Vincent’s Health Australia
Be available to take shifts as Clinical Manager when the Clinical Manager is on leave.

It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:

Current practicing certificate as Registered Nurse (Level 4)
Degree qualified in Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Minimum 5 years Management experience
APHRA accreditation
Current Flu Immunisation Certificate
Has been or is willing to be immunised against COVID 19
Be computer literate and highly competent in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

While not essential, it would also be desirable if you had Postgraduate qualifications in education, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and previous experience in aged care/community care.
