Full Job Description
You will partner with relevant stakeholders to engage and respond to the school community to build and strengthen protective factors around students and families.
In partnership with relevant stakeholders you will adopt an early intervention approach with young people (4-17years) with the aim to reduce risk associated with victimisation and offending.

Mandatory Requirements:
Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as youth work/social work; and experience in an educational setting would be beneficial. Eligibility to hold a current Qld drivers licence and Qld Working with Children (Blue card)

Will include to:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions in the effective service delivery of common key accountabilities and outcomes.
  • Provide individual support, case management, and, where appropriate, group support to students to maximise their engagement with education and training.
  • Research contemporary evidence based programs and interventions to develop appropriate responses and evaluate outcomes.
  • Adopt and implement a multi-agency early intervention case management framework to identify, respond and manage 'at risk' children to reduce the likelihood of victimisation and offending behaviours.
  • Compile case records and reports.
  • Develop and monitor post program support to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners in developing and delivering proven education and awareness programs that addresses student needs and recognises emerging crime trends impacting young people.
  • Ensure effective management of resources under your control.
