JOB DESCRIPTION

BRISBANE NORTHSIDE – Head Chef / Sous Chef

Burpengary Community Club will be the second greenfield site to open in Queensland. Located in the largest and fastest growing council areas in Queensland (MBRC). The Club’s focus will be to support the immediate area with a Club facility, along with the ongoing support to the community. Whilst the venue is still under construction, we are looking at a June 2021 opening.

This is a rare opportunity for a Chef to showcase their creative flair and push the boundaries. Are you ready for a new challenge????

We are looking for a Head Chef and a Sous Chef who are ready to believe in delivering quality meals to our members and guests, and who take pride in creating and serving meals to a high industry standard.

HEAD CHEF - $80,000

Responsible for the following:-

  • Ordering
  • Monthly audits with the executive chef
  • Input into menu design including photo cards, recipe cards, costings, implementation and training of staff in regards to menu dishes
  • Rostering
  • Running of the kitchen
  • Management of staff
  • Dealing with customers
  • Making sure all meals are plated to a high standard & in conjunction to recipe cards, photo cards
  • Ability to step in & run kitchen in executive chefs absence
  • Weekly meetings
  • Constant guidance & training of apprentices
  • Responsibility for all aspects of HACCP
  • Ensuring daily procedures are met ( temp checks, cleaning logs, receiving of goods etc)
  • Reaching weekly/monthly targets cogs, wages, KPI's

SOUS CHEF - $70,000

Responsible for the following:-

  • Running of the kitchen
  • Management of staff
  • Dealing with customers
  • Ability to step in & run kitchen in executive chefs absence
  • Weekly meetings
  • Constant guidance & training of apprentices

  • Ensuring daily procedures are met ( temp checks, cleaning logs, receiving of goods etc)

Hours of Work

Weekly roster - Full time position - Shifts range from early morning starts to late finishing times.

Must be available days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
