Talent International are currently recruiting for a Senior Domain Architect to work for one of our Brisbane based Clients. This position is a full-time permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the service delivery team in the collation of requirements, the ratification of decisions and associated RAID items to subsequently build a fit for purpose design, setting high level criteria for the design and exercising design control over the implementation project and its future commoditisation into delivery:
- Attend meetings where DWS architecture is either a core focus or an underlying dependency
- Understand the customer's business direction and strategy elements that impact, and are affected by, DWS e.g. technology roadmaps, M&A activity etc.
- Contribute subject-matter expertise in ways that demonstrably add value, whether informing other discussions, or directly producing designs/plans.
- Maintain current working knowledge of domain
- Combine knowledge of the customer's strategy and requirements, service offerings and market trends and to design and propose compelling solutions.
- Lead scoping workshops, the production of a storyboard to an appropriate level of detail with a view to establish customer requirements.
- Provide consultancy around potential solution models, approaches and benefits analysis.
- Create the high level solution strategy for an opportunity, identifying the key solution elements, operating model and delivery approach.
- Ensure that the overall solution (operating model/transition plan/solution design) is competitive and meets the customers' business requirements.
- Take end to end solution ownership of the responsible service tower(s) throughout the solution design lifecycle whilst adhering to appropriate processes, governance including obtaining necessary internal sign-off's and peer review.
- Capture and track all risks, assumptions, dependencies and decisions (RAID) associated with the solution highlighting all significant risks to senior management and ensure that a risk plan is put in place.
- Contribute to the proposal deliverables and authoring activities taking ownership of any assigned solution.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations to all levels of customer stakeholders.
- Collaborate with commercial team to produce detailed pricing for an opportunity ensure an acceptable cost structure and outcome.
- Take an active role, supporting/leading where necessary, in contract negotiations to ensure that the contract correctly represents the solution and offer.
- Provide input into new and evolving offerings including: go to market strategies, financial models, technology plans, architectures, service definitions and delivery plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10-years' experience including 5+ years in designing, developing Managed Service solution for Enterprise and Government customers.
- Knowledge of IT Services and technologies - in particular ITIL based Managed Services solutions encompassing End User Compute, Digital Work Space, and Cloud
- Knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Microsoft 365, Citrix, VMware WorkspaceOne and AWS Workspaces Virtual Desktop implementation and integration.
- Windows 10 Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
- Experience with configuration management (via SCCM, Intune, WorkspaceOne) of multiple different endpoints - Android, iOS, Windows, Mac OS.
- Virtual Desktop implementation on Citrix Cloud hosted in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to tailor messaging according to audience: business stakeholders to technical architects
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Experience in formal design either as an architect or in a senior technical or consulting role.
- Capable of effectively working and communicating with senior business management and technologists.
- Able to blend innovative technologies with pragmatic design and act as trusted technology advisor to the Client's customers.
- Current NV1 clearance
- Defence experience preferred
