About the role

The Regional Engagement Partner is primarily responsible for identifying missional opportunities consistent with the mission of Churches of Christ in Queensland. As a member of the Strategic Mission Development team you will promote, equip, resource, support, and bring to effect the mission of Churches of Christ in Queensland - Bringing the Light of Christ into Communities.

Your daily duties will be varied and your role will involve the implementation of a number of key objectives, which involve but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of a Mission Action Strategy for the region;
  • Networking with and aligning key Church of Christ leaders in the region;
  • Working collaboratively with the Brisbane Bayside and Gold Coast communities including other support services, to bring uplift to the broader community.

About you

You are a strategic leader who assimilates seamlessly with your team members and can mentor them to overcome organisational hurdles and achieve shared goals. As a team person with a teachable spirit you are able to communicate effectively with others in a variety of contexts.

You are comfortable working alongside people from different faiths, cultures, lifestyle choices, educational and career backgrounds. You have a welcoming disposition that renders you capable of forming positive relationships that foster growth and development.

Your qualifications and experience for this role should also include:

  • Qualification in Theology or demonstrated ability and willingness to learn on the job;
  • Able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland;
  • Solid experience in a church or parachurch leadership role with demonstrated ability to carry the mission of Christ into new contexts and catalyse new ministry;
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate a kingdom theology that recognises the origins of Churches of Christ in Queensland and affirms the missional value in all of our work;
  • Current Driver's Licence.
