Performance Analyst

You will utilise your experience in the areas of data analysis and modelling, benchmarking and business intelligence to help the organisation make data-driven decisions that deliver tangible business outcomes. As part of your role, you will support the deployment and ongoing management of the Group’s Planning and Performance framework that underpins its performance improvement capability. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working with large volumes of performance data and translating this into meaningful insight through advanced analysis and visualisation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, timely & insightful analysis into the Group’s Performance through multiple reporting & analysis channels;
  • Utilise advanced data analysis, modelling & visualisation techniques to transpose large volumes of information into meaningful insights;
  • Create interactive reports & dashboards to support problem solving & solution generation;
  • Ensure data integrity in key systems is maintained along with establishing processes to support underlying data quality improvement; and
  • Manage, analyse, & resolve performance data queries & manage improvements needed to best meet stakeholder requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary degree in a science, engineering, accounting, finance, business or related discipline;
  • Advanced skills in data visualisation tools such as MS Excel, Tableau, Power BI etc;
  • Advanced skills in querying databases using SQL etc;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop data models to support data driven decision-making, e.g. Bayesian networks, artificial neural networks;
  • Advanced skills in coding such as R, Python, Java etc;
  • Experience managing databases and experienced with data cleansing;
  • Must have skills in development and automation of reports with experience in excel and pulling data into Tableau or similar reports;
  • Experience with supporting stakeholders requests to automate reports;
  • Working knowledge of different project management methodologies and the ability to apply them to organisational change projects;
  • Preferably have practical exposure and understanding of the water or other capital-intensive industry;
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience in compiling reports, briefs, spread sheets and presentations of a high standard;
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines; and
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders to influence and drive performance improvements.
