About Our Client

Job Description

As a merchandise planner you will be responsible for the planning for both the stores (80+) and the online sales.

Forecasting will be strongly focused on analysis (historical data) and expected trends/ forecast.

You will work closely with the buyers to improve forecasting and in-stock position and align with the buyers to ensure full commercial support from Ranging, New Product Introduction (NPI), In-season management to End of life product.

In regards to the stock level and manage of inventory flow (right level of stock/ stock balancing) you are responsible from supplier through to the stores.

  • Manage stock position for catalogues, sales and promotional events
  • Review catalogue performance with the Buyer and take learnings for future catalogues
  • Identify with the Buyer slow selling lines and action plans to accelerate growth or reduce inventory accordingly
  • Manage Open to Buy (OTB) in order to respect inventory budgets & forecasts
  • You will be the point of contact for store enquiries

Inventory flow:

  • Purchase order creation / modification / deletions both for local and overseas vendors.

- Liaise with supply chain/shipping/master data to ensure accurate shipping data-

  • Monitor inbound shipments / orders to assist in setting priorities to meet out of stock requirements.

You will have 1 direct report.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate has proven experience of working as a merchandise planner (3-5 years +) within the retail industry

Advanced Excel skills (need to be comfortable with V-look up, Pivot tables).

Excel VBA/ Macros is an advantage.

To be considered for this position you need to have the right to work in Australia and currently be based in NSW
