In the role of Principal Busway Officer you will manage the day to day operations of the Busway Operations Centre and support the Busway Manager by providing operational advice and information for the effective planning, delivery and operation of Brisbane Busways and the associated bus network and proactively negotiate Brisbane Busways services, resourcing, funding and commercial business with stakeholders.

Accountabilities include:

• Manage the day to day operations of the Busways Operations Centre.
• Lead and manage human resources, focusing on the development of a strong team environment that encourages and promotes performance improvement in accordance with employment equity, anti-discrimination, employment relations and workplace health and safety principles.
• Assist in developing, implementing and managing plans and procedures for the effective control of Busway Operations, including operations for major events at sporting and entertainment venues in the Busway corridors.
• Ensure complaint investigations are undertaken and completed in a professional and timely manner.
• Supervise the delivery of principles, strategies and procedures for risk and safety management and emergency response and incident management.
• Maintain frequent contact with emergency services personnel, bus operators, drivers and passengers to establish and maintain good customer relations.
