Join Journey Early Learning as our new Office Administrator and be the main support function to our Founder, Anthony!

About Your New Role:
As our new Office Administrator, you will work as a permanent member of our team, across 25 hours a week. You will hold a pivotal role as the support function to our Founder. You will also gain exposure and an understanding of childcare centre operations.

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced, multi-faced role with a variety of roles and responsibilities. To succeed in this role, you will have a strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to show initiative and strong organisational skills as you ensure that each day runs smoothly and inline with pressing priorities.

Based in Wooloowin, you will work along-side a team of authentic, genuine, and passionate people, who come together with pride in where they work, and who they work for. You are ideally looking for a role that allows you real life balance, with the opportunity at times to work remotely once you are settled into your role.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintains founder’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Coordinate founders’ communications and correspondence, responding to emails and interfacing with clients
  • Secretariat functions such as scheduling meetings, compiling agenda, briefing papers, taking minutes, and following up on actions
  • Assist with a variety of office projects and processes
  • Resolving issues and troubleshooting a variety of situations
  • Coordinating, managing, and undertaking domestic travel arrangements
  • Prepare internal and external corporate documents

Role Requirements:

  • the capacity to effectively manage an Executive office and provide a high level of support to senior officers and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
  • excellent communication, negotiation and liaison skills and the ability to deal effectively, professionally and with courtesy to people at all levels, internally and externally;
  • the ability to demonstrate initiative, work under limited supervision and cooperatively within a team based environment; and
  • the capacity to use your judgement and deal with sensitive issues in a professional and discreet manner.
