About the role:
Medical Receptionist Trainee is an entry point role with potential for further growth and development. The role will be supervised by experienced health professionals. Please note you should NOT hold Certificate III to be eligible for this position.

As a first point of contact the Medical Receptionist is required to ensure the patient flow is conducted with minimal interruptions by effectively using time management skills, informative communication skills while observing the overall demeanour of the patients in waiting.

We are the largest, most comprehensive Aboriginal Medical Health Service in Queensland. Skills and Experiences:
Willingness and ability to undertake at a minimum a Certificate III in Business Administration.
The ability to work independently, under guidance or direction and within a multi-disciplinary team.
Previous experience in working with culturally diverse people.
Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications
Current and valid National Police Check.
Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply

Desirable, but not mandatory:
Previous experience working in an administration and /or service coordination role
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander clients
