eCom Manager 

We are extremely excited to share with you an opportunity to be a part of the first eStore in Queensland and to lead one of our new format online departments. Join us in providing a little good for our online customers.This role will:

Located in Maroochydore, QLD, an eStore combines a traditional supermarket with picking technology to operate a 24/7 fulfilment model. It brings an opportunity to work with cutting edge automation and help shape the future of online order fulfilment.The eStore will be capable of delivering increased order capacity as well as increased availability to support the ever-growing customer needs in the area.

The new technology will increase productivity by reducing the need for team members to walk up and down the aisles, whilst still allowing our customer orders to be handpicked by our personal shoppers. Medium to fast-moving lines will be housed in an extended back of house area to enable picking efficiency and faster delivery.

What makes you right for Woolies

As the eCom Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the eCom department to ensure the end-to-end delivery of the eCom operations process of the eStore

  • Coach, support, and lead three team managers to deliver a differentiated offer to our online customers through a team that advocates for our business.

  • Partner with WooliesX, Smart Fulfilment and Supermarket teams to trial new processes and leading edge technology to change the way we fulfil online orders for our customers.

This role best suits a candidate with a growth mindset who has experience delivering results through cross-functional work, preferably from within a process-orientated environment. Ideally this would include managing warehouse and delivery operations with demonstrated achievements in service delivery, cost management, team leadership, and quality and process improvement. You will have:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, and engage with stakeholders

  • Demonstrated operations, stock, and systems experience

  • Proven ability to understand information, identify trends and prioritise issues, then make effective decisions and delegate tasks as needed

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement and growth mindset with a willingness to challenge the way we do things and try new ways of working

  • Proven ability to create and deliver against a plan to reach Key Performance Indicators
