The service is based on early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention delivered by primary care and specialist providers working together within an accessible and integrated service framework. The new centre will be operated by Anglicare Central Queensland and is funded through the Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN. For more than 30 years, Anglicare Central Queenslands local team of professionals have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds and beliefs to support them in living their best life. We are dedicated to putting our participants first, enriching their lives by creating choice, opportunities and independence. We serve communities in and around Rockhampton, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Blackwater, Emerald, Barcaldine, Longreach and Winton. About the Opportunities: * 2 years (6 month probationary period applies). * The role of the Chair is to provide independent leadership to the headspace Emerald Consortium. The Chair will be appointed for two years, with the option to extend should both parties be satisfied. The Consortium has two main purposes: * To outline priority areas and advise regarding the strategic direction of the headspace service; * To create a network to discuss youth mental health issues within the region, to identify gaps and provide leadership to share and discuss ideas on how to meet these needs.
