Buderim Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Breast Care Physician to lead our state-of-the-art Breast Clinic as Director in a permanent part-time (32 hrs p/w) or full-time position.

About the Opportunity:

Our purpose-built Breast Clinic is a multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art facility that provides fast and accurate screening and diagnosis of all breast symptoms. Featuring the latest technology and equipment, including 3D mammography and high-resolution ultrasound, we offer breast screening, diagnostic and pre-operative localisation services.

As Director of the Breast Clinic, you will combine leadership responsibilities with active clinical duties to ensure high quality care is delivered to patients; utilising your clinical knowledge and demonstrated leadership skills in order to continue to build this vital service the Sunshine Coast and surrounding regions.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will make key management decisions to ensure the effective operations of the Breast Clinic; monitoring financial performance, leading improvement activities and the strategic planning of services and leading your team in a collaborative environment to ensure exceptional clinical care of patients.

About You:

You will be a dynamic Registered Medical Practitioner with at least five years clinical experience as a Breast Physician in a Clinic setting and will be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in Breast Medicine or similar
  • Mammography and breast ultrasound interpretation
  • Fine needle aspiration, core biopsy and pre-operative localisation under ultrasound and mammographic guidance
  • Management experience in a clinic setting
  • Consultative leadership style aligned with the organisation’s values with highly developed interpersonal, conflict management & negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NSQHCS standards, continuous improvement, OH&S and risk management
  • A strong commitment to customer service and quality outcome
  • Ability to strategically plan and positively implement change
