Our fantastic Regional Operations Manager for QLD South has decided to retire and so a rare opportunity has come available at McKenzie ACG to support and champion our QLD South Facility Leaders.

The Location

In this role you will travel between our Regional Office and our 6 QLD South facilities which are located across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Murwillumbah.

The Job

As the Regional Operations Manager (ROM) reporting directly to the General Manager Operations, you will:

  • Provide a high level of leadership and management to the Facility Managers and facility workforce ensuring best practice is achieved in all operational activities
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring care delivered to residents is best practice and compliant with all legislative requirements
  • Lead, support and oversee clinical governance in conjunction with the management teams and quality to improve resident outcomes
  • Assist with overseeing and, in partnership with the Facility Managers, develop and manage the facilities current and future quality, human, material and financial resources
  • Develop and maintain positive community awareness of the McKenzie Aged Care Group (MACG) brand and services.

You will have:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the aged care sector and legislation
  • Proven leadership in the residential aged care industry having held senior management roles and gained high-level leadership and management skills
  • The ability to build and maintain positive and strategic working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in the areas of operational leadership, quality management, WHS, financial management, HR management, strategic project management and procurement skills
  • Flexibility to work across multiple facilities and be on-call
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health, business or a related discipline
  • A current CPR certificate

Current Australian Nursing Registration with AHPRA and postgraduate qualification preferably in the disciplines of business or health service management are desirable.
