The Role

Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and the Production & Maintenance teams, the successful applicant will have experience working on a variety of manufacturing equipment, safety management practices and the ability to carry out both time critical breakdown repairs whilst ensuring scheduled maintenance work is carried out.

Duties may involve fabrication; welding; machining; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing plant and buildings.

The work also contains a component of systems work to ensure accurate maintenance records are kept and downtime, stock of spares and maintenance performance recorded accurately.

You will have
  • 5+years Industry Experience (History working with manufacturing and maintenance teams);
  • Qualified Fitter and Turner, Maintenance fitter or similar Trade Qualifications;
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Current Forklift licence (HRW);
  • BI boiler licence, confined space and working at heights certificates preferred but not essential;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Sound computer skills.
