Full Job Description
We have a great opportunity for a Practice Supervisor to join our Intensive Family Support team based in Cairns.

This position is full-time, fixed term to 30 September 2023. Extension of employment contract beyond September 2023 is subject to the continued successful government funding of the program.

Key responsibilities

Lead the practice of a team of Family Support Practitioners, Therapists and In-home Support Workers in the provision of early intervention and case management services to families at risk of entering or re-entering the child protection system.
Manage a restricted caseload delivering our family case-management program to families, caregivers, kids and young people.
Regularly attend and participate in case consultations and reviews.
Be an active and engaging consultant in your area of expertise.
Work collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure families goals are achieved.
Promote the Intensive Family Support role and functions to key partner agencies and the community.

About you...

A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
At least 5 years’ experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people and children in the child protection framework.
Relevant experience supervising teams and aligning to organisational values.
Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively work families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About the pay...

Position is classified Level 6.1 - 6.3 under the SCHCADS award;
Salary range is $90,442 - $94,437 plus 9.5% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time);
