UQ VETS Dayboro is one of the few truly mixed practices within easy commuting distance of Brisbane. This new facility was opened in 2013, with the upgrade of the small animal facilities to hospital status, improved large animal outpatient facilities, and accommodation for nine UQ students. Situated 45 minutes north of Brisbane, the area hosts both commercial and hobby farmers offering a mix of 50/50 small and large animals. The large animal component consists of horses, dairy and beef cattle and a growing number of camelids. Large animal veterinary work is performed mostly on-farm but there are also outpatient facilities available at the clinic.
About This Opportunity
Based at the Veterinary Centre-Dayboro, the primary purpose of the position is to provide high quality nursing and technical services and to provide support and assistance to our professional veterinary staff. You would also be required to assist the veterinarians in the teaching of veterinary students and veterinary technology students in a clinical environment.
Our Ideal Candidate
Applicants should possess a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/ or Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology together with experience of at least 3 years in the industry.

What We Can Offer
This is a casual position at HEW Level 4.1. The remuneration for the position will be $43.24 per hour (inclusive of a 25% casual loading) plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5%.
