Your new role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working as a mechanical fitter on fixed plant within the Bohle processing plant. Your responsibilities include;
- Performing all activities safely
- Perform fault/maintenance diagnostic activities & complete repairs as required to ensure continuous operation of the plant.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services relating to the plant. This includes implementing any mechanical shutdown plans and regular maintenance activities.
- Recommend and implement improvements to fixed plant and work practices
- Documentation of maintenance activities, maintenance of databases and generation of purchasing requests.
- Perform fabrication activities in accordance with sketches or schematic drawings including any minor welding repairs as required, set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment.
- Participate in call outs/breakdowns of plant and equipment
Your skills and experience
- Current Forklift license, driver licence and EWP license
- Confined space and working at heights are preferred
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (AUS) or National Certificate in Automotive Machining – Level 4(NZ) or equivalent.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience in fault finding and repairing a range of machinery
