Your new role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working as a mechanical fitter on fixed plant within the Bohle processing plant. Your responsibilities include;

• Performing all activities safely
• Perform fault/maintenance diagnostic activities & complete repairs as required to ensure continuous operation of the plant.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services relating to the plant. This includes implementing any mechanical shutdown plans and regular maintenance activities.
• Recommend and implement improvements to fixed plant and work practices
• Documentation of maintenance activities, maintenance of databases and generation of purchasing requests.
• Perform fabrication activities in accordance with sketches or schematic drawings including any minor welding repairs as required, set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment.
• Participate in call outs/breakdowns of plant and equipment

Your skills and experience

• Current Forklift license, driver licence and EWP license
• Confined space and working at heights are preferred
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (AUS) or National Certificate in Automotive Machining – Level 4(NZ) or equivalent.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Demonstrated experience in fault finding and repairing a range of machinery
