Metro Supply Manager - The Wesley Hospital and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital
About the Opportunity:
You will be responsible for efficient management of the supply function at both The Wesley Hospital and St Andrews War Memorial, including purchasing, receiving, inventory management and internal distribution within each hospital to support safe, high quality patient care, excellent customer service outcomes and achieving value for money for the organisation.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based between The Wesley Hospital, Auchenflower and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, Springhill.
Your Responsibilities:
- Management of purchasing processes
- Liaise and collaborate with UCH clinical teams, Group Procurement and other staff members to optimise strategic procurement opportunities and supply initiatives
- identify appropriate suppliers and procure goods for in the most cost-effective manner
- Maintenance of and processing of all UCH purchase orders
- Liaise with departmental customers on their medical consumable requirements
- Conduct periodic stock takes at least annually and spot check or as directed
- Analyse supplier, purchasing data and consumption trends to maximise financial outcomes for the organisation
Your Skills & Experience:
You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience in purchasing, inventory control and supply chain management in an acute healthcare setting
- Understanding of SAP Materials Management system or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire skills in an ERP software
- Sound understanding of manual handling training, environmental spills. management, forklift management and infection control methodologies
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office
