About the Role

To provide expert, timely and pro-active advice on all business management issues to support the operational and strategic activities of the allocated units across Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service. The Business Manager will enhance the financial, human resource and business capability of the respective units, through the initiation and evaluation of innovative proposals that will position the units for future progress.

  • Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
  • Staff are expected to be compliant with the timely and accurate input and collection of consumer related demographic information, diagnosis, outcomes collections and provision of service activity into appropriate applications. The data and information includes the electronic entry and completion of documentation to meet legislative requirements, including Mental Health Act 2000 documentation, admissions, discharges and transfers.
  • Provision of comprehensive advice and training to divisional staff for all related matters.
  • Participate and support the development of the Unit's Business Plan.
  • Monitor establishment and provide advice regarding financial impact of establishment changes.
