The Role
We currently have an excellent opportunity available for a Supervisor (Stores & Ground Fuel) To contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of the Stores & Ground Fuel Service across the Stores and Transport services within the Defence Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Logistics Operators
  • Manage all Work Requests and Purchasing Needs
  • Utilise the Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS), Roman, CVS, Defence Transaction Processor (DTP), Chem Alert and other systems as required
  • Actively participate in Ventia 'vision' to include safety, quality, customer service and environment as a culture and a way of doing business
  • Attend training and development to assist with multi-skilling and personal growth
  • Ensure competency skills and licences are maintained and attend appropriate training
  • Assist the Regional Manager with record keeping and documentation
  • Participate in monthly Toolbox Meetings
  • Assist the Regional Manager with HSE Site Inspections
  • Receive, record and manage customer enquiries
  • Advise Regional manager of any issue which may affect service delivery or client relationships
  • Recommend and monitor improvements to Stores & Ground Fuel Service to improve productivity and/or reduce cost
The Person
  • Previous experience within a supervisory role
  • Computer literate with experience using Excel, Word, and Email
  • Drivers licence applicable to vehicles on site (Car / Light rigid truck).
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and staff
  • An ability to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers, and Client representatives
The successful candidates must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to a Baseline security clearance. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen
