Our client is a family owned company that has a diversified portfolio of business linked to the agricultural sector. They are considered to be the leaders in their field of expertise and are now hiring a Senior Procurement Specialist for the construction division. If you have the ability to build great working relationships with suppliers that will be required to support multiple projects across various regional sites all at the same time whilst working to tight time frames amongst peers that are committed to working as a team and learning from each other this role is yours.

Responsibilities:

* Requesting and reviewing supplier quotations from a commercial standpoint
* Review bill of quantities to ensure accurate procurement of goods and materials
* Processing requisition data through the various software packages
* Periodic negotiation of material rates, lead contract evaluations, assist in the development of appropriate sourcing strategies and identify contract risks
* Expediting and ensuring timely deliveries of products across various sites and projects
* Maintain and build supplier relationships and coordinate and lead supplier performance meetings and master data
* Spend analysis and assist with financial reporting
* Liaising with project managers to set & maintain budgets

To be considered for this role, you will have:

* Relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar client focused procurement role is essential
* Previous sourcing experience in similar spend categories including building construction and maintenance is highly desirable along with experience in general goods and services
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to deal with suppliers from across the globe
* High attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving skills
* Well-developed Excel skills
* Ability to work on ones own as well as a team
* Strong influencing and negotiating skills
* A strong understanding of processes and experience and knowledge of modern construction supply chain concepts
