Level 5-6 - $77596 - $88550 per annum

The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an OHS Advisor. As the OHS Advisor you will be responsible for contributing to the operations of the Workplace Health and Safety branch and contributing to the development and implementation of effective workplace health and safety frameworks, policies and procedures.

Essential

• C Class Manual Drivers Licence

• Diploma qualifications relevant to workplace health and safety with significant experience in a similar role

• Demonstrated detailed knowledge of current Workplace Health and Safety legislation, with the ability to provide advice and guidance on legislative matters

• Experience in conducting workplace investigations

• Experience in managing rehabilitation cases

• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and present information all levels within an organisation, mediate between parties and build effective working relationships
