Procurement/Accounts Officer required for extremely busy but flexible northern Gold Coast finance team.


Your new company

Our client is an Australian owned, private Engineering firm specialising in Renewable Energy Storage With a unique and comprehensive product range this company has been experiencing exponential growth, they are seeking an experienced Procurement/Accounts Officer to join the team.


Your new role

The responsibilities of the Procurement/Accounts officer will include the following:

  • Ensuring the ERP and accounting system is accurately maintained.
  • Assisting with general accounting procedures as required
  • Negotiate prices and procure products from agreed suppliers to meet deadlines in line with business objectives
  • Investigate the purchase price/quantity variances and communicate with supplier and finance department
  • Monitor supplier performance against key measures and work with vendors when expectations are not being met
  • Research potential vendors
  • Prepare reports where necessary, and participate in supplier evaluation
  • Performs job-related duties as required


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • Knowledge of general accounting principals
  • Proficient with technology and various software packages
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong procedural skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, initiative and integrity
  • Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Due to the nature of the work, if you are a bi-lingual candidate that can speak English and Mandarin Chinese, this would be advantageous.
